As the number overweight kids continues to rise more adolescents are turning to surgery as a solution. Today’s Matt Lauer talks to NBC chief medical editor Dr. Nancy Synderman about the issue.

In case study, a teenager, Kylie crovo weight 255 pounds, she decided to has gastric bypass surgery after tried many way to lose weight, but all failed, and now a year and a half later after gastric bypass, Kylie has lost 110 pounds.

Another case study Amanda Munson lost almost 100 pounds and no longer suffer from type 2 diabetes after gastric bypass surgery.
