Crafting a Healthier Diet
You can fight cancer and heart disease while you lose pounds and strengthen your bones. Nutritionist Elizabeth Somer shows TODAY’s Al Roker simple steps to a healthier diet.
A Healthier Daily Diet
- Switch from OJ to blueberries at breakfast
- Sip, don’t gilp your water
- Drink tea and coffee between meals
- Chew and brush to avoid nibbling
- Devide your plate and include 3/4 vegetables
- Cut 100 calories each day
Simple Diet Changes
- Adding blueberries to your breakfast can help prevent heart disease, cancer and alzheimer’s.
- Antioxidants in blueberries may help reverse memory loss.
- Drink water too fast and it won’t have time to hydrate you.
- To lose one pound in a month, eliminate 100 calories a day.
