What are the benefits of detox diets? and are they dangerous? A detox diet is a dietary regimen involving a change in consumption habits in an attempt to detoxify the body by removal of toxins or other contaminants. Madelyn Fernstrom, a diet and nutrition editor, discusses the health benefits as well as the potential dangers of trendy detox diets.
